2025 PREVIEW
The Wolfpack return nearly every skill player from last season, making their offense look especially dangerous. Their success in 2025, however, will largely depend on how well they perform in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Entering the season, they are viewed as one of the top contenders to win the division and repeat as district champions.
Quarterback Jake Howe is back for his fourth straight season as the starter and has shown steady improvement each year. He’ll have plenty of weapons at his disposal, including running back Davon Underwood and fullback Gene Ardo in the backfield. The receiving corps is deep, led by returning starters Treyvon Gembitski and Jordan Kieselowsky, with Rajan Watson, Kevon Creech, and Jonathan Otway-Kellum also expected to contribute. Tight end Nick Saracino also returns as a reliable target.
Up front, protecting Howe will be key. The offensive line brings back three starters: Altemeir Terry at left tackle, Nymeir Gudroz at left guard, and Aiden Gilmore at center. Gavin Griffith and Denzel Herrera are projected to fill out the rest of the line.
Defensively, the Wolfpack will feature more new faces than on offense, but there’s plenty of talent ready to step in. Saracino returns at defensive end opposite Khalil Smith, while Gudroz and Terry shift inside to defensive tackle. Ardo anchors the middle as a returning starter at inside linebacker, joined by Gino Dalessandro. On the outside, Kymoni Hubbard-Jones and Ethan Hooper step into starting roles. In the secondary, Gembitski returns as an all-star cornerback with Watson taking the other side, while Creech is back as the starting safety.
On special teams, Jaedyn Sanchez returns as the placekicker, and Ardo will handle punting duties.
