2026 PREVIEW
It will be a rebuilding year for Scranton after a disappointing 2025 season. Jack Miles takes over the program and could face some growing pains as the Knights have talent on the roster but very little experience. Look for Scranton to struggle early as players adjust to new roles and try to improve each week in a tough division.
The Knights will have a new quarterback running the offense, with Chris Manning taking over under center. Jack Cabet will provide depth. Running back Ismael Salazar is one of the few returning starters and will be expected to be the team’s primary playmaker. Nate Duffy takes over at fullback.
Ian McAndrew returns at wide receiver, with Alex Esposito expected to take the other starting spot. The tight end position will be determined during training camp.
Daris McCollum is a returning starter on the offensive line, while Kevin Clarke will occupy one of the other spots. The remaining positions will be decided before the season opener.
McCollum, Brian Newcome, and Amir Wright will rotate at defensive end, while Clarke is expected to start at defensive tackle. Jacob Tomczyk and Aaron Freyne are the new outside linebackers, while Jaliq Spears returns as the starting middle linebacker. Duffy provides depth at linebacker.
Sean Fairweather and Esposito are expected to start at cornerback. Trevon Castellano will be one of the starting safeties, with the remaining secondary position(s) to be determined.
McAndrew returns as a key contributor on special teams.
