Jake Howe threw four first-half touchdown passes Saturday afternoon as Wilkes-Barre ran away from Wyoming Valley West in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 game.
The Wolfpack opened leads of 27-0 after one quarter and 42-0 at halftime.
Howe completed 14 of 26 passes for 192 yards. He hit Jonathan Otway-Kellom with a 16-yard pass for the first score and found him again on a 24-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Howe also had a 10-yard touchdown to Kevon Creech in the first quarter and a 5-yarder to Jordan Kieslowsky in the second.
Kieslowsky added a touchdown pass of his own when he found Creech with a 42-yarder for a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.
Rajon Watson returned an interception 41 yards for a score with 10 seconds left in the first quarter.
Declan George scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter.
Wyoming Valley West played without starting quarterback Damien Eastman because of an injury. The Spartans managed just two first downs and were held to less than 50 yards of total offense.
Wilkes-Barre is leading the race for the top seed in the District 2-4 Class 6A Subregional. The Wolfpack (2-2 in the division, 5-3 overall) is at Crestwood (1-2, 4-4) Friday.
Wyoming Valley West (1-3, 1-7) is home Friday in a non-league game with Valley View (4-4).
