DALLAS 24, WILKES-BARRE 21
The Dallas Mountaineers walked off the field Friday night with a hard-fought 24-21 victory over Wilkes-Barre, winning the game with Brandon Miller’s 22-yard field goal with :04 seconds left on the clock.
Dallas jumped out to a 14-0 lead with the Geskey brothers showing up on center stage. Talan Geskey hit Logan Geskey with a 38-yard touchdown pass. Then freshman Marc Saracinaj scored on a 33-yard run.
The teams exchanged scores in the second quarter, but the third quarter belonged to Wilkes-Barre. Senior quarterback Jake Howe threw touchdown passes to Gino Dalessandro and Jordan Kieselowsky.
The fourth quarter was a grudge match until the last drive when the Mountaineers moved the ball down to the 1 yardline, but couldn’t punch it. Miller was brought in for the game-winner.
Saracinaj rushed for 156 yards to lead Dallas. Howe also eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark for Wilkes-Barre
The Mountaineers are back home next week against Pittston Area while the Wolfpack visits West Scranton.
