2025 PREVIEW
The Spartans are coming off a rough, winless season and enter 2025 riding a 20-game losing streak. The hope is that the young players who gained valuable experience last year will take the next step, helping Valley West become a more competitive opponent in the WVC. The program’s last winning season came in 2016, and the team is eager to change that this fall.
Freshman quarterback Damien Eastman endured some growing pains last year, but that experience should pay off moving forward. He will be joined on the depth chart by Josiah Sienkiewicz, Christopher Phelps, and Connor Krobert. At running back, Gadgigas Reisinger returns as the starter with Malique Campbell serving as his backup. Iszrel Davis, Colton Kocher, and Zain Herbert could also see carries. In the backfield, Will Hebda moves from the line to fullback, with Alexavier Rivera, Cairon Rivers, and Kendal Ruiz providing depth. Out wide, Preston Sninsky and Chase Meyers return at receiver. Additional receiving options include Damien Jackson, Zyere McCalla, Justice Brice, Jahron Cooper-Mickens, Jesiah Davis, Kaviyon Madera, and Ty’jae Allah. At tight end, the competition will come down to Tanner Ragukas or Amor Sims.
The offensive line, which struggled last season, brings back experience with right tackle Liam Corbett and left tackle Brady Kasarda. Bradley Lameraux is penciled in at left guard, Peyton Sninsky at center, and Kahmar Smith at right guard. Providing depth are Ezekiel Hidayah-Hughes, Trevor Ruddy, Jackson Puscavage, Jayden Ford-Spivey, and Sy’dair Johnson.
Defensively, Corbett and Kasarda return at defensive end, while Hebda and Johnson anchor the interior line. Lameraux, Carter Morrisey, and James Hebda will rotate in as well. At linebacker, Rivera and Ruiz step in as the new starters on the inside. Raguskas returns on the outside and will be joined by Reisinger, with Davis, Sims, Kocher, and Rivers available for depth. In the secondary, Meyers returns at cornerback opposite Campbell, while Preston Sninsky takes over at free safety. Madera, McCalla, and Jackson provide depth in the defensive backfield.
On special teams, Eastman will handle punting duties, while the kicking job will be determined in camp.

We are looking to have our line set the tone for our games to allow our skill players to flourish. We have many players who are competing for positions and playing time.
