2024 PREVIEW
North Pocono saw plenty of contributions from younger players last season and although the results weren’t favorable in the win column, they are confident those growing pains will pay off this season. They expect their strength to be up front with both experience and size. If their new playmakers can step up on offense, they could be the sleeper in LFC Division I and Class 4A
The Trojans will have an entire new starting backfield including quarterback in Chase Zimmerman. Brady Lavery did get time at tailback last season and Joe Briskie will also see time there. Mike Stout and Lukas Koch will be in the mix to take over at fullback. Cole West is one of the leading returning receivers from 2023 and will be joined by Chris Isernia and Seamus Maguire. Evan Wolff returns at tight end.
All five starters are back on the offensive line. The left side returns with tackle Cole Zimmerman and guard Barry Griffiths. Mason Richards returns at center while Ethan Mensel is back at right guard. Dylan Caster returns at right tackle.
Wolff and Bryan Jean Philippe were starters last season and will be at defensive end. Richards, Mensel, and Cole Zimmerman will be in the rotation on the defensive interior. Nico Desantis and Kyle Clancy are newcomers at outside linebacker. Karson Gibson is back at inside linebacker with Koch, Stout and Aidan Maguire competing for playing time at the other spot. Brady Lavery returns as one starting cornerback with Isernia and Aidan Liptai battling to play on the other side. West, Josiah Gray, Seamus Maguire, and Joe Briskie are in contention for the safety spots.
Sean Magnotta returns as the punter and will also take over the placekicking duties.
