2025 PREVIEW
It will be a hard act to follow after for the Spartans won their first division title since 1991. But they have enough back to make an attempt at winning back-to-back titles. Mid Valley has skill players and linemen back for another run.
Brett Yanoski returns at quarterback which gives Mid Valley an offensive leader and a very productive offensive player. Mason Vinansky got a lot of playing time last season and will be the primary tailback with Aidan Tinney and Garrett MacDonald seeing some time. Adam Pezanowski returns at fullback with Chase Hazleton and Brayden Gilgallon providing depth. Nick Pinto is a returning starter at wide receiver and will be joined by Wyatt Youngblood, Aiden Willson, and Nick Hricenak as options at receiver. The tight ends are one of the strength of the team with two legitimate receiving targets and impressive blockers in Rhys Williams and Jake Bondy.
The offensive line, which had all five starters returning last season, will get three back for 2025 including left tackle Devon Hill, center Rob Mattioli, and right guard Dylan Maceyko. Ralph Johnson is penciled in at left guard while Tyler Bradshaw and Jason Gardenhire will battle for the right tackle position.
Williams is back as a starter for the third straight season at defensive end with Cole Bryant or Mattioli playing on the other side. The Spartans will have two new defensive tackles from a group that includes Maceyko, Gardenhire, and Johnson. Pezanowski is back at outside linebacker while David Turbessi or MacDonald will play the other side. Bondy has the most experience of the inside linebackers with Richard Lupcho, Gilgallon, Hazleton, and Brennin Marcinko competing for playing time. Youngblood is a returning starter at cornerback with Willson and Aidan Tinney vying to play on the other side. Pinto is back as the starting safety while Dylan Sarnoski will provide depth.
Bondy is one of the best returning punters in the LFC while Pezanowski is the returning long snapper. Lupcho will be give the first opportunity to handle the kicking duties.
