Berwick needed seven weeks to get to two victories a year ago.
The Bulldogs are there in two this season.
Ty’Meere Wilkerson rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns while the Berwick defense remained unscored upon for seven straight quarters with a 42-0 shutout of visiting Mid Valley Friday night.
Wilkerson, who carried 20 times, ran for touchdowns in each of the first three quarters. He scored from the 1 in the first, from the 50 in the second and from the 2 in the third.
Connor Roberts ran 10 yards for a score while freshman quarterback Brady Cleaver and Gavin Galutia each scored on an 8-yard run.
Mid Valley made it to Week Seven before it lost for the second time last year, but the 2024 Lackawanna Football Conference Division 2 co-champions are 0-2.
Berwick (2-0) will go to Lackawanna Trail (2-0) for a meeting of ranked District 2 Small Schools Friday.
Cleaver rushed for 55 yards on six carries.
Mid Valley will host Old Forge (0-2) Friday.
