2023 PREVIEW
Crestwood’s 2022 season was one of the best in school history with a WVC title, District 2 title, and the first-ever state playoff win in football. The Comets graduated a lot of talent that might take some time to replace, but the momentum of the program could should help them defend their titles this season.
Jaden Shedlock returns at quarterback after rushing for over 1,000 yards as a freshman. He threw the ball efficiently when he had to and will probably air it out more this year. Jack Rodgers will be his backup. Logan Rolles takes over at running back backed up by James Barrett. Eli Meadows will be the new fullback with Mason Girton behind him. Matt Sklarosky returns at wide receiver and will be joined by Jason Swank, Collin Lazo, and Osten Grigas. Lincoln Bibla moves from fullback to tight end and Carter Kennedy will be his back up.
The offensive line returns two starters in left tackle Aleks Jaskiewicz and center Andrew Lenahan. Chris Harmon and Brady Cook will compete for the left guard spot. Dane Dilodivico will be the new right guard. Lukas Lawson or Josh Rotski will be the new right tackle.
The defensive front will have all new faces. Matt Urban, Jaskiewicz, and Gonzalo Lazano will be in the mix at defensive end. Kyle Draina, Rotski, Lenahan, and Harmon will be possibilities at defensive tackle. Bibla and Rolles are returning starters at the linebacker with Kennedy, Meadows, Emmit Seyer and Girton providing depth. Sklarosky is a returning starter at cornerback with Grigas and Shedlock vying for the other spot. Swank, Lazo and Barrett are the safeties.
Rolles returns as the kicker and punter.
