2020 PREVIEW
The Cougars program has momentum with good numbers on the roster and recent past success on the field. They will have to replace some key players from last season, especially on offense. But the talent is there even if the experience is not.
Sophomore Adam Howanitz will take over at quarterback while Corey Coulthard and Rylei Kilmer will be the new running backs. The one experienced player in the backfield is all-division fullback T.J. Noto. Sean Mackinder return at receiver while Anthony Memo, Jordan Rebar, and Colin Skeen will fill in the other receiver spots. Matt Smith has experience at tight end while Mark Mariani will also see time there.
The offensive line is inexperience with Tyler Swartz the only returning starter. Danny Vislosky, James Casarin, Jacob Casarin and Jakhai Simmons will fill the other four positions.
Swartz and Smith are returning starters on the defensive line. Dante Randle, Shamel Salley, Louis Marion, Rafe Evans and Pat Murphy will compete for the other spots and provide depth. Noto and Coulthard are back at linebacker and Ian Little will fill the other position. Howanitz and Chris Conserette are returning starters at defensive back while Kion Simmons, Kevin Williams and Mackinder will fill the other spots.
James Liparulo will handle kicking duties and Corey Bushta returns as the punter.
