2020 PREVIEW
The Vikings had one of the most productive passing attacks last season in recent memory. The hope is they can fill some holes created by graduation and upgrade their defense to compete in both LFC Division 3 and Class 2A.
Quarterback Johnny Gilchrist set an LFC record for passing yards in a season and returns for his senior year. He will have a whole new receiving corp with wide receivers Noah Parschinski, Josh Godlewski, Reese Gaughan and tight end Jimmy Garvey. Charlie Azarsky takes over at tailback for Riverside.
The offensive line has some experience with Justin Tigue, Claudio Jimenez and Ty Hosklins all returning starters. Angel Escobar and Paul Higgins will fill the other two spots.
The defensive line returns Jimenez and Hoskins. They will he joined by Cross Mercado and Tigue. Gavin Thomas is a returning starter at linebacker while Chris Rogers and Kalani Foster will fill the other two spots. Noah Parchinski is the lone returning starting defensive back and will be joined by Azarsky, Gaughan and Gilchrist.
Gary Mrozinski will handle the kicking duties and Azarsky will be the new punter.
