2025 PREVIEW
North Pocono closed 2024 on a high note by capturing the Eastern Conference title. Even more impressive was how the Trojans battled the top teams in the division — their effort and competitiveness stood out even if the wins didn’t always follow. That momentum carries into 2025 as North Pocono looks to contend for the LFC Division I crown and chase its first district championship in a decade.
Quarterback Chase Zimmerman gained valuable experience as a freshman starter and now enters his sophomore season ready to elevate the offense. Tailback Joe Briskie returns after an injury cut his season short, with Jayden Taylor and Josiah Gray providing depth behind him. The fullback spot is undecided with Aidan Maguire, Will Eisley, or Mike Bell competing for the job. Wideout Cole West is among the top returning receivers in the LFC, while Gray, Max LaFave, Connor Ruddy, and Tate Bowen add options. Tight end Evan Wolff is a returning starter, supported by Desantis, Maguire, and Bell.
The offensive line brings both size and experience. Left tackle Cole Zimmerman, left guard Brody Bull, right guard Warren Kramer, and right tackle Dylan Caster all return as starters. The center job will be decided in camp between Gabe Descipio and Garret Gillette.
Defensively, Zimmerman anchors the front at end with Kramer or Gillette likely on the opposite side. Caster is a returning starter inside, joined by Bull and Descipio in the tackle rotation. Linebacker play will be a strength with Wolff and Aidan Maguire returning as starters, while Desantis, Taylor, Eisley, Bell, and Matthew Laboranti provide depth. Zimmerman is back at corner with Bowen or Ruddy competing for the other spot. West and Gray return at safety with Briskie, Dom Dinnen, and LaFave available as backups.
On special teams, Shane Youngblood takes over as the new kicker, while West returns as the punter.
