2022 PREVIEW
It has been a struggle for the Bucks over the past two years as they have posted back-to-back non-winning seasons for the first time since 1996-97. However, this should be a bounce back season as Dunmore returns many of their skill players. The lines on both sides of the ball, which have been a staple for decades, will determine if they can be a division and district contender.
The quarterback position is solid with Thomas Bowen beginning his third year as the starter. Jack McNeff and Sonny Crotti will serve as the backups. Nico Ruggiero returns at running back and Josh Malone is back at fullback. Also returning is wide receiver Dom DeSando. Dan Pigga will play multiple spots on the field including running back and wide receiver. Lorenzo Mitchell will also see time at wide receiver. Brady Reuther is the back as the starting tight end with Andy Fazio also seeing time at the position.
Dunmore will have some new faces up front with Evan Makowski, Nathan Reuther and Nick Tullio all expected to be starters. Where they will play will be determined by who wins the other line positions. Rogan Dougherty, Nico Buckley, and Bryce Talutto are all in the mix to get playing time.
Fazio, Dougherty, Brayden Reuther and Nicholas Pierro will be considered at defensive end while Nathan Reuther, Makowski, and Tullio will plug up the middle of the Bucks defense. Malone and Patrick Pucilowski return at outside linebacker and Nick DonVito is a retuning starter at inside backer. Jake Hickey and Jacob Ramos also will see time at linebacker. The secondary is experienced with Cal Talutto, Cole Capooci, Ruggiero, DeSando and Pigga all expected to play plus Jack McNeff and Gabe Franek will provide depth.
Max Hunt is back at kicker Nick Pierro and Sean Gallagher will vie for the punting job, again.
