2020 PREVIEW

The first season of for the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack was a huge success with a winning record and a district playoff win. The Pack will try to build off that momentum with a district title as the main goal. There are some major assets returng to help them achieve that goal.

Senior quarterback Kam Taylor, who split snaps last season, will be the main quarterback in 2020. He will have Noah Taylor, who is the team’s leading returning rusher, back at fullback. Javier Gonzalez and Ben Kenzakoski are the new faces at the tailback position. The Wolfpack will have new starters at wide receiver with Maleek Robinson, Tyere Dobson, Elijah Jordan, Mike Andrzejewski, Javant McClary, Naquan Johnson and Maliek Afzal all in the mix. Tyler Woodward, Anthony Nguyen, Conor Shedlock and Anthony Martinez are all expected to compete for time at tight end

Wilkes-Barre will have some experience on the offensive line with Mike Timek, Ian Bednar, Cam Hagenbaugh, Kareem Jones, Randall Bednar, Koby Bednar and Gilbert Gonzalez.

The defense will have some holes to fill from graduation. On the defensive line, Xavier Carter, Ian Bednar, Jones, Noah Taylor, Jace John, and Muhammad Awe will see time.  Woodward, Nguyen, Robinson,  Afzal, Kenzazoski, Abu Samake and Howie Shiner will compete for jobs at linebacker. Dobson, Jordan, McClary,  Andrzejewski and Sincere Williams are expected to make up the secondary.

Michael Deutsch-Jones will be the kicker while Evan Corcoran handles the punting duties.
