2020 PREVIEW
New head coach Stan Yanoski hopes to inject some enthusiasm and energy into the Mid Valley program. The numbers are up and the Spartans feel they are ready to step forward. It won’t be easy with the teams in their division and their new classification 3A, but this experience can help Mid Valley long-term.
The Spartans will have a new quarterback in Cameron Riccardo, but Tyler Angelo returns at fullback and speedster Devin Ayala is now the tailback. Jeremiah Wolo is an experienced wide receiver and will be joined Kyle Marcinkevich and Jayson Lowe at the position. Connor Kocsis is the new tight end.
Jason Maceyko and Josh Angelo are experienced up front and will be joined by Jake Yanoski, Luke Ferguson and Gavin Shaffer to complete the offensive line.
Josh Angelo and Ferguson are returning starters on the defensive line and Maceyko, Kocsis and Shaffer will all see time in the trenches. Tyler Angelo is a returning starter at linebacker while Stanley Ciborosky and Yanoski will fill the other two spots. Wolo and Ayala are back in the secondary while Marcinkevich will take over the other spot.
Kocsis will take over the place kicking for the Spartans and Marcinkevich is the new punter.
