2025 PREVIEW
Holy Cross is hoping to make the next step to compete in LFC Division III. They showed signs of progress last season, but still had issues with depth and numbers. They do have some experienced players returning that should help them be a better team in 2025.
The Wudarski brothers are four-year starters – Aiden at tailback and Leland at fullback – and will be the playmakers for the Crusaders. Two young players will compete to be the new quarterback in Tyler Kohut and Chase Rutkoski. Kevin Vincent is a returning starter at wide receiver with Jonathan Mills penciled in the other spot. Simon Madore and Christian Novak should see time at tight end.
The left side of the line has a chance to be really good with experienced returning starers tackle Branden Fadl and guard Gregg Novak, Jr. Noah Karzenoski will most likely start at center. Bruce Kondrat will be the new right guard with Vinny Sansone returning at right tackle. Matt Dick will provide depth up front.
Novak returns at defensive end while Madore will play the other side. Fadl is a returning starter at the defensive tackle spot and will be joined by Sansone. The outside linebackers both return in Noah Davis and Vincent. Leland Wudarski will once again anchor the inside at linebacker with Aiden Wudarski, Kondrat and Dean Mushow all in the mix. Henry Chilewski return at the cornerback position with Mills or Matt Liuzzo competing for the other side. Kohut or Rutkoski will be the new starting safety.
The Wudarski’s will hande the return game on special teams.
QUOTE FROM COACH GIORGIO: We return six three-year starters on both sides of the ball so we are looking for senior leadership to help make us competitive. We do have some key players that were lost to graduation that we need to replace and hopefully we will get better each week. The main thing for us is to stay healthy and if we can we should be okay.
