HOLY CROSS 32, MONTROSE 6

Aiden Wudarski ran for three touchdowns and Chase Rutkoski added an efficient passing performance Friday night as Holy Cross won 32-6 at Montrose in a non-league opener.

Rutkoski threw just three passes, but completed them all for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

Kevin Vincent scored the first two Holy Cross touchdowns in the second quarter on passes of 3 and 49 yards from Rutkoski.

Wudarski, who had the other reception for 29 yards, ran 2 yards for a score and Rutkoski found Simon Madore for the two-point conversion and a 20-0 halftime lead.

The lead grew to 32-0 when Wudarski ran 2 and 23 yards for scores in the last 2:29 of the third quarter.

Weston Nabywaniac passed to Nate Thurman for the only Montrose score.
