2020 PREVIEW
Scranton had a nice bounce-back season posting a winning record overall and in the division. Coach Steve Shumbres is hoping to build on the momentum heading into 2020. He has a good core coming back but also must fill some holes at the skill positions left by graduation.
The offense will revolve around returning running Charlie Thompson who battled through injuries last season. The new quarterback will be Nate Cobley and Rodrigo Salazar takes over at fullback. Sam Jones is a returning starter at wide receiver and will be joined by Antonio Hairston, Will Walsh and Elijah Garcia.
The Knights return four starters up front in Matt Reyes, Charles Stewart, Sean Norton and Bobby Sherpinskas. Noah Lance will fill the other position.
Stewart is the lone returning starter on the defensive line as Reyes, Jesus Maldonado and Dustin Miller will fill the other three spots. Mychal Slavinski returns at linebacker while Devin Chollette, Josh Cohen and Salazar will also see time at the position. Donato Stepney and Jones are returning starters in the secondary and Thompson will also see time at defensive back.
Jeremiah Ortiz will take over the kicking duties and Lance will be the new punter.
