2025 PREVIEW
The Comets returned to the top in 2024, winning the Class 5A district championship. With back-to-back winning seasons, Abington Heights looks to build on that momentum as they aim to contend in the division and defend their district crown. The offense will run through their standout quarterback, while the development of a brand-new offensive line will be key to sustaining success.
Nick Bradley is one of the best returning quarterbacks in the district and will once again lead the Comets’ offense. Backups Noah Kayal and Chris Bohn provide depth behind him. Although the team graduated its top two receivers, reliable target Gavin Anders is back after recording 43 catches last season. Kayal, Rocco Sarafinko, Evan Keiper, Rodman Azar, Michael Arcure, and Domnick Pasqualichio are among the candidates to step into bigger roles. In the backfield, fullback Thatcher Loss returns with Max Gordon behind him, while tailbacks Jayden Anglin and Anthony Severs will split carries. At tight end, Cayd Sespico returns as a starter, with Gordon, Ben Reese, and Harshal Patel adding depth.
The offensive line will be completely rebuilt after the graduation of all five starters. The new group will come from a rotation that includes Logan Bohn, Brendan Dougherty, Gordon, Jocsan Muentes, Nate Jury, and Chris O’Boyle.
On defense, Sespico returns at defensive end alongside either Bohn or Reese. The interior will be filled by Dougherty, Muentes, Jury, Patel, or O’Boyle. At linebacker, Anglin and Loss return, with Severs, Pasqualichio, and Gordon providing depth. Sarafinko and Kayal are experienced starters at cornerback, with Keiper and Arcure backing them up. Anders anchors the secondary at safety, joined by Azar and Pasqualichio.
On special teams, Bradley returns as the punter, while Jack Hartshorn takes over kicking duties after returning from injury. Arcure will handle long-snapping.
