2023 PREVIEW
The Blue Devils were hit hard by graduation and last year’s team lost the most games since 2016. Old Forge will play hard every week, but the inexperience, small roster, and brutal schedule might make it tough to avoid a losing season.
The new quarterback will be Robby Solfanelli who will be backed up by Ryan Novak. Cael Krushnowski is one of the returning starters at running back with Chris Rasmus and Dylan Dando providing depth. Geno Scatena will be the fullback. Frankie Pero, and Conner Oshinski will take over at wide receiver with Nick Novak and Tim Ruby also getting time. Joey Granko was an all-star tight end last season. Isiah Rodriguez and Caden Carey could see time as well.
The offensive line has all new faces. Jake Lucarelli will be at left tackle; Jordan Rafalko at left guard; Noah Michaylo at center; Richard Rosado at right guard; Will Wozniak at right tackle. Carlos Concha, Gavin McNichols, and Tavin Brooks will provide depth up front.
Wozniak will start at defensive end with Michaylo and Rodriguez getting time. Lucarelli, Rafalko, and Rosado will be in the rotation at defensive tackle. Granko is back at linebacker with Ruby and Brooks on the oustide. Oshinski, Dando, Carey, and Scatena are also linebackers on depth chart. Krushnowski is experienced at cornerback and will be joined by Pero. Rasmus and Solfanelli will be the safeties. Nick Novak, Ryan Novak, and Savion Cupil will provide depth in the secondary.
Rodriguez returns as the place kicker and punter.
