2022 PREVIEW
Nanticoke played a lot of young players over the past couple seasons and now it should start paying off. If the Trojans can get some linemen to step up their game, the skill players are good enough to make their mark in WVC Division 2. However, the postseason might be tough as they move to Class 4A.
Payton Kepp is a player who can play anywhere on the field, including quarterback but Jaylin Collins is most likely to be the signal caller for the Trojans. Zach Fox and Mykal Julian will play the wings while Ashton Brozusky returns at fullback. Alex Fine will also see some time there. J.J Kus and Aiden Kolet will be the wide receivers while Seth Raymer returns at tight end with Jaydon Johnson and Braden Emel providing depth.
The offensive line will be crucial for Nanticoke to compete with some of the bigger teams in the WVC. Guards Ryan Wiaterwoski and Dylan Shires are back with Michael Park and John Pashinski slated to be the new tackles. John Ultsch will be the new center.
On defense, Johnson and Raymer return at defensive end with Wiaterowski back at defensive tackle. Shires will occupy the other gap inside. Kus and Brozusky are the outside linebackers while Fine and Nakyi Williams will be the insider backers. Lucas Stachowiak and Aiden Kolet will be the new cornerbacks and Collins and Kepp have experience at safety.
Kepp and Collins will both be involved in special teams.
