Thomas Pidgeon was a major contributor on offense, defense and special teams. As a wide receiver, he caught 103 career passes for 1,634 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was equally effective on defense playing in the secondary where he had 79 tackles and 11 career interceptions. Pidgeon had 11 pass deflections, 3 fumble recoveries and a force fumble. He also was effective as a kickoff returner.
Pidgeon was 2018 NPF Lackawanna Football Conference Division III Offense Player of the Year and All-District 2 at wide receiver. He was first-team wide receiver and defensive back in the division both his junior and senior seasons. Pidgeon was named second-team all-state at wide receiver in 2017 by the Pennsylvania Football News and then all-state at defensive back in 2018 by the Pennsylvani Football Writers. He was also named first-team wide receiver in 2017 and first-team defensive back in 2018 by EasternPaFootball.com.
Former Lakeland coach Jeff Wasilchak on Pidgeon: “Thomas was a game-changer. He had a knack of making big plays. He started three seasons at safety, roaming the field, taking care of the whole field. Then he started for us on offense and was just an all-around playmaker.”
