Brian Lalli was a team leader who did whatever it took to get his team to a championship level. As a captain his junior and senior seasons, Valley View won an Eastern Conference and the first District 2 title in school history. As a wide receiver, Lalli caught 89 passes for 1,285 yards (both school records) along with 18 touchdown receptions. On defense, Lalli was the quarterback of the secondary and a three-year starter. He recorded 117 tackles during his career to go with nine career interceptions. He also returned two punts for touchdowns his senior season.

Lalli was a first-team NPF Lackawanna Football Conference Division I defensive back in both his junior and senior seasons. He was a second-team NPF Lackawanna Football Conference Division I wide receiver both years as well. Lalli was named a second-team all-state defensive back by the Pennsylvania Football News. He was also named honorable mention defensive back by EasternPAFootball.com. Lalli played in the PSFCA East-West game and the Lions Club Dream Game. He continued his football career at Division 1 FCS Colgate University where he played wide receiver and caught 29 passes for 353 yards in 21 games.

Valley View coach George Howanitz on Lalli: “Brian was a difference maker on offense and defense. His knowledge of the game of football made him a matchup nightmare as a WR and a true ball hawk as a DB. He always had the uncanny ability to come up with a big play when we needed one. ”
