NAME: Kevin Reihner
SCHOOL: Scranton Prep
LAST SEASON: 2010
POSITIONS: OL/DL

Scranton Prep was one of the most successful programs during the decade and the offensive lines were a big reason why. Kevin Reihner was the start of that trend. Reihner was a huge offensive lineman but was technically sound and very athletic for his size. A four-year starter, he blocked the way for a couple 1,000 yard rushers over his career and was dominant up front his junior and senior season. Reihner also played inside on defense and was effective as a run stuffer.

Reihner was an NPF 2010 Lackawanna Football Conference Division I first-team offensive lineman and a second-team defensive lineman. He was named a second-team all-state offensive lineman by the Pennsylvania Football Writers and third-team all-state offensive lineman by the Pennsylvania Football News in 2010. He was also named an honorable mention offensive lineman by EasternPAFootball.com. Reihner played in the Chesapeake Bowl and  was the 15th ranked prospect in Pennsylvania by Rivals. He continued his football career at Division I-FBS Stanford University and finished it at Penn State University.

Former Scranton Prep coach Nick Donato on Reihner: “An outstanding offensive lineman, Kevin was my only four-year starter at Prep. A student of the game, the fact that he always knew his assignment contributed to his quickness of the ball. As his size and strength developed, he became a dominant player on both sides of the ball his junior and senior years.”
