The PIAA has announced the classifications for the next cycle 2026 and 2027 seasons. The numbers are based on current boys enrollment Grades 9 through 11.
Teams with an * moved to a new classification for this cycle.
Class 6A will probably have it’s own playoff bracket with a possibility Williamsport could be added
Class 5A will move to Subregional with another district(s)
Class 4A could be back to 8 playoff teams in the bracket
Class 3A most likely back to 4 playoff teams for both years in the cycle
Class 2A is unchanged and should have it’s own bracket
Class 1A will probably still be a part of a subregional
