  1. North Pocono Trojans (10-0), defeated Scranton Prep 24-21 (Last week: 1)
    For the third time in school history, the Trojans have an unbeaten regular season. They will be the No. 1 seed in Class 4A and the road to the championship goes through Moscow. North Pocono last won a district title in 2016.
    Next up: vs. Crestwood (5-5) – Friday
  2. Abington Heights Comets (8-2) defeated Hazleton Area 44-14 (Last week: 3)
    Quarterback Nick Bradley returned to play for the first time since Week 5 and he didn’t miss a beat. The Comets got a break with Pittston Area losing and their Week 10 win as they are now the No. 1 seed. They will have homefield advantage as they try to defend their district title.
    Next up: avs. Wyoming Valley West (1-9) – Friday
  3. Pittston Area Patriots (8-2), lost to Wyoming Area 41-22 (Last week: 2)
    A great season shouldn’t be spoiled losing to a very good Wyoming Area team. However, it did sting. Not only did the Patriots lose to their rival, but they lost the No. 1 seed. They will have a home game on Friday, but the path to a district title got a lot tougher.

  4. Delaware Valley Warriors (5-5), defeated Scranton 49-19 (Last week: 5)
    The Warriors end the season on a high note and reach the . 500 mark for the regular season. They will have to hit the road the rest of the playoffs, but definitely are in the conversation for the district title.

  5. Dallas Mountaineers (5-5), defeated Lake-Lehman 44-6 (Last week: 6)
    Dallas was a two-point conversion away from winning their third straight division title when they lost to Pittston Area several weeks back. The Mountaineers retained the Old Shoe and now get another date with familiar foe Valley View who they are playing for the fourth straight year in the postseason.

  6. Valley View Cougars (6-4), defeated Wallenpaupack 20-7 (Last week: NR)
    It was a roller coaster season for the young Cougars who finished with a winning record. They earned the No. 2 seed and will at least have a shot to defend their district title. Not too bad for a rebuilding year after losing 29 seniors from the 2024 team.

SMALL SCHOOL

  1. Berwick Bulldogs (10-0), defeated Tunkhannock 53-0 (Last week: 1)
    The Bulldogs finish undefeated in the regular season for the first time since 2013. They won the division and are the No. 1 seed in Class 3A. The Dawgs are poised to get back to the top, but there will be some challenges along the way.
    Next up: vs. Hanover Area (6-4) (Listen on NPF) – Friday
  2. Wyoming Area Warriors (9-1) defeated Pittston Area 41-22 (Last week: 2)
    Huge rivalry win for Wyoming Area last Friday. Now, the real work begins. They will have to play the defending district champions and if they can win that game, they will most likely get a rematch with the only team they lost to in 2025.

  3. Scranton Prep Cavaliers (5-5), lost to North Pocono 24-21 (Last week: 3)
    The Cavaliers had a chance to be the spoiler but a 4th down conversion by North Pocono and an interception on Prep’s last drive pushed the Cavaliers to a .500 record. They have won five straight district titles, but will have to hit the road to dowin another one.

  4. Lackawanna Trail Lions (9-1), defeated Riverside 40-14 (Last week: 4)
    The Lions made a statement to win their third straight division title and now begin the march to another Class 1A subregional. After that, the sky is the limit as they have all the pieces to make a state run.
    Next up: vs. Nativity (4-6) (Listen on NPF) – Friday
  5. Lakeland Chiefs (9-1), defeated West Scranton 35-14 (Last week: 5)
    It wasn’t easy, but the Chiefs won the division title outright and earned the No. 1 seed in Class 2A. Now, everyone will have to go to Chapman Lake to play them which is never easy. Nice turnaround for Lakeland who only win four games over the past two seasons.
    Next up: vs, Holy Redeemer (2-8) -Friday
  6. Dunmore Bucks (7-3), defeated Old Forge 49-8 (Last week: NR)
    Dunmore jumps in the rankings as they will get their rematch from Week 1 with Riverside. The Bucks lost that game in overtime, but outgained the Vikings 3 to 1 in total yardage. They would like avenge that loss and get a chance to do the same against Lakeland.
