Every week, we will highlight some of the best linemen from the WVC and LFC presented by Honesdale National Bank. Here is Week 9:
MATT GORDNER, Berwick
Berwick’s offensive line might be the best in District 2 and Gordner has been a major force for the unit. The senior has already had a great career, but has stepped up his game even more this season. The senior has good strength and uses his hands well. His strength is his run blocking which fits into what the Dawgs want to do on offense and they are very good at it.
AL-AMIN KESHINRO, Hanover Area
The offense for Hanover Area has been very efficient this season and even though there were questions about the line, they have been exceptional this season. Keshinro is probably the most complete linemen as he excels both in run blocking and pass protection. The Hawkeyes have be very balanced which has helped them be more competitive than recent years.
JACK KONDRAT, Valley View
The Cougars are known for their running game every year and Kondrat has proven to be a powerful run blocker. After excelling on the defensive side of the ball his junior season, he was moved to the offensive line in 2025 and has played very well. More important he has helped mentor younger players on the unit as Valley View starts a sophomore and two freshmen up front.
CAYD SESPICO, Abington Heights
Sespico has been a defensive force for the past two seasons and teams have had to either game plan around him or use double teams to try to neutralize him. He still manages to get to the ball on a regular basis. The senior also is one of the best blocker in the LFC whether he lines up at tight end, H-Back or fullback.
BLAKE STAGE, Lackawanna Trail
Stage was a tight end the last couple seasons and made the move to offensive tackle because the team had a need. Not only has he performed well with his run blocking, he has helped the Lions have one of the most potent running attacks in the LFC. The senior has a great skill set to go with his athleticsm up to create running lanes for the Trail running backs.
