Every week, we will highlight some of the best linemen from the WVC and LFC presented by Honesdale National Bank. Here is Week 4:
BRENDAN DOUGHERTY, Abington Heights
Abington Heights dominated in the trenches in their win over Valley View and Dougherty was one of the leaders. The senior tackle helped the Comets’ offense accumulate 370 total yards (307 yards rushing / 63 yards passing) and score a season high 45 points.
JAIDEN KELLER, Carbondale
The big guy in the middle had another great game on both sides of the ball. Keller, who weighs in at 320 pounds is a huge run-stopper and at guard, he helped the Chargers rush for over 300 yards in Carbondale’s win over Holy Cross.
SKYLER NEVEL, Berwick
Berwick defensive end Skyler Nevel was all over the field last Friday as the Bulldogs rolled over Hazleton to remain unbeaten for the 2025 campaign. The senior recorded six total Tackles, two TFLs, and two sacks. Nevel shows great bend and speed from the outside to lead the Dawgs pass rush.
COOPER THOMAS, Tunkhannock
Thomas has been a steady presence for the Tigers offensive line over the past three seasons and he has excelled as a run blocker. The 6’1, 250 pound tackle helped lead Tunkhannock 274 yards rushing and 42 points in the win over Nanticoke.
KAYDEN WALKER, Pittston Area
Walker has become a force on the outside for the Pittston defense and is one of the big reasons for their improvement on that side of the ball. He had three tackles including a sack and also manned right tackle as the Patriots set a school record with 64 points.
