Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Northeast Industries. Here is Week 9:

MASON AVERY, Honesdale
Avery has rushed for over 3,000 yards for the Hornets, but he also has been a huge factor on special teams. During his career, he has been the kicker and the punter. But he also has been a dangerous return man. For the second straight week, he returned a kickoff for a touchdown. This past Friday, it came right after Dunmore scored to make it a two-score game and gave the momentum back to Honesdale who would win the game.

RODMAN AZAR, Abington Heights
With the starting kicker under the weather, Abington Heights turned to the sophomore backup kicker Azar. He came through with a perfect night for extra points going 6 for 6 in the win over Scranton. He also was effective with deep kickoffs.

DYLAN GESKEY, Dallas
Geskey is another player known for his offensive prowess, but this past week he blocked two punts against Hazleton and recovered one for a touchdown. It was one of three special teams touchdowns for the Mountaineers as they clinched their second straight WVC Division 1 crown.
