Every week, we will highlight some of the best linemen from the WVC and LFC presented by Honesdale National Bank. Here is Week 6:
TREVON BESS, Dunmore
The Dunmore defense is starting to find it’s identity and had one of its best games of the season in the win over Lakeland. Leading the Bucks on the defensive line was Bess. He had six tackles, a sack and a tackle-for-loss and has really shown an ability to get to the football and make plays.
LINCOLN BIBLA, Crestwood
Bibla missed the first half of last season, but was very good the second half. That has carried over to his senior season. He spent Friday night making plays to help the Comets to a big win over Pittston. He had five tackles including a sack, four tackles-for-loss and two QB hurries. Bibla also scored two TDs on offense as he moved to the backfield.
CONNOR BRYANT, Western Wayne
Face In The Crowd author nicknamed the Western Wayne offensive line The Bulldozers as they have paved the way for a punishing rushing attack. Bryant is another player who has been part of that dominance. On defense, he also contributed four tackles in the Wildcats win over Honesdale.
TOMMY FIORELLI, Valley View
Valley View is another team who plays old-school football with power and smashmouth being the theme. Fiorelli returned as a starter at tackle and has gotten even better from a solid junior season. The Cougars rushed for 294 yards in the win over Scranton and another big fourth quarter after wearing down the Knights.
KEEGAN HEATH, Delaware Valley
The strength of the Warriors for 2024 was going to be the offensive line and that’s the way it has worked our. Heath is returning starter who helped Delaware Valley to a win over Abington Heights. DV ran for 305 yards and five touchdowns with a physical performance from the unit up front wearing down the Comets throughout the game.
