Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Figliomeni Pharmacy Care. Here is Week 1:

 

JACK HARTSHORN, Scranton Prep
The freshman, making his varsity debut, was a perfect 10 for 10 in extra points in Scranton Prep’s 70-7 win over Lakeland. Hartshorn also showed good distance on his kickoffs.


ROWAN LAUBACH, Dallas
Laubach takes over the kicking this year for the Mounts and managed to have the longest field goal of the week which was good from 41 yards. He also was 4 for 4 in extra points and kicked four touchbacks.


TYLER MATTIS, Wyoming Valley West
Mattis started the season off with a bang with the first touchdown of the season in District 2 when he returned the opening kickoff 91 yards for the score. The game ended up being a one touchdown victory for the Spartans to break their 16-game losing streak.


Honorable Mention: Domenick DeSando, Dunmore – 51-yd punt return TD; PK Liam Burke, Wyoming Area – 5 for 5 XP; PK Connor Poole, Williamsport – 29 and 24 yard field goals.
