Every week, we will highlight some of the best special teams performances from the WVC and LFC presented by Figliomeni Pharmacy Care. Here is Week 5:

MATT COLE, Valley View
Cole was a perfect 6 for 6 on extra points in Friday’s win over West Scranton. He has not missed an extra point in his first season as the kicker for the Cougars. Cole has started to get touchbacks on his kickoffs and is consistently putting the ball inside the 10. He also made a field goal this season.

RYDER MACHADO, Delaware Valley
Machado had several tackles on kick coverage but his biggest play was recovering a fumble on the second half kickoff and taking it in for a special teams touchdown in the Warriors win over Abington Heights.

ZACK PERTA, Holy Redeemer
It’s exciting every time Perta gets his hands on the football. Whether it is long pass patterns or the return game, he can take it to house on any play. He did that against Lackawanna Trail on Friday running back a kickoff 80 yards for a Royals touchdown.

Honorable Mention: PK Raymond Rinaldi, Scranton Prep – 5 extra points; DL Nico Bossi, Abington Heights – two blocked extra points
