Every week, we will highlight some of the best linemen from the WVC and LFC presented by Brucelli Advertising. Here is Week 2:

LIAM CARROLL, Berwick
The Bulldogs pulled a huge upset knocking off ranked Crestwood and like any close game, the guys in trenches can help decide it. For Berwick, sophomore lineman Carroll received the highest grade for the ‘Dawgs in the big win.

NICK ELKO, Wyoming Area
Wyoming Area’s offense is off to a great start and Elko is leading the way as he did in 2020. Against Wilkes-Barre, he had three pancake blocks and didn’t allow sacks as the Warriors scored 31 points. On defense he has 7 tackles and 1 QB hurry.

ROCCO FLUCK, Honesdale
As the tight end, Fluck had 3 pancake blocks for the Hornets as they came back to defeat Abington Heights. On defense, he recorded 8 tackles including a sack and two tackles-for-loss. He also blocked a field goal attempt.

ADAM KENNY, Scranton Prep
Senior tackle Adam Kenny was one of the linemen instrumental in the Cavaliers win over Scranton. He paved the way for Prep to run for 400+ including London Montgomery’s 373 yards and six touchdowns. Kenny missed last season with an injury.

TYLER SWARTZ, Valley View
The Cougars offense has been unstoppable because of the group up front including senior right tackle Swartz. Valley View had 349 yards of total offense in the game and has 729 total yards from scrimmage this season. The front has been dominant led by the 2020 All-District 2 lineman.
