This is the ninth edition of our Five To Watch series. We thank Mansfield University for coming aboard again as a sponsor on the network and our title sponsor for Five To Watch. There are 34 teams in the WVC and LFC so it’s impossible to recognize every single player in this list. The players we do list are some of the best at their position or have an interesting role coming up in 2020 for their team. For players who don’t make the list, we hope you strive to make our lists at the end of the season because that’s the ones that really count. (Players are only eligible for one list. If they play other positions, that will be mentioned in their write-ups)

Here are the athletes:

Cristian Buckley, Sr. – Dunmore
Height: 5-10 Weight: 150

Although Buckley comes from a family of running backs and that is the position he has listed next to his name, it wasn’t uncommon to see him split out as a wide receiver for Dunmore last season. Although he might play more in the backfield this season because of graduation, the Bucks can put him anywhere on the field and he is dangerous. He rushed for 789 yards and caught 21 passes for 469 yards. Buckley had a total of 23 touchdowns in 2019. He also is the top returning defensive back for the Bucks. Buckley was a Lackawanna Football Conference Division III first-team athlete.
Buckley Highlights

Michael DiGregorio, Sr. – Old Forge
Height: 5-10 Weight 145

DiGregorio played all over the field last season and we expect the same in 2020. He rushed for 250 yards and 5 touchdowns. He threw for 346 yards and 4 touchdowns. He caught 16 passes for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns. And he had 422 return yards and 2 touchdowns. DiGregorio also played defensive back and had 2 interception returns for touchdowns. He was named a Lackawanna Football Conference first-team athlete and defensive back in 2019.
DiGregorio Highlights

Leo Haros, Jr. – Wyoming Area
Height: 5-8 Weight 150
The state champions were hit hard by graduation at the skill positions, but Haros got a lot of playing time and will be one of the leaders of the 2020 Warriors. He had 443 all-purpose yards, scored 5 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving touchdowns. Haros will play running back and wide receiver on offense and return kicks for Wyoming Area. He also was a starter on defense in 2019 and is the most experienced defensive back on the roster. Haros was named a Wyoming Valley Conference Small School honorable mention defensive back last season.

Sincere Shiloh, Sr. – Nanticoke
Height: 5-10 Weight 140
The Trojans have some holes to fill as they lost some explosive skill players from last season. Shiloh will wear many different hats for Nanticoke. He has very good speed and will line up many different positions on the field. Shiloh will be a factor in the return game as well. He will start at defensive back for the Trojans.
Shiloh Highlights

Jeremiah Wolo, Sr. – Mid Valley
Height: 6-0 Weight 155
Wolo is a three-year starter for the Spartans who has good size and speed. Although he is primarily a wide receiver, the new coaching staff will try to get him the football in different situations. Wolo is also the quarterback in the secondary for the Spartans. Expect his leadership to be important for a young Mid Valley squad.
Wolo Highlights

Matthew Cusatis, So. – Hazleton Area
Height: 5-11 Weight 155
Cusatis got his feet wet on the varsity level last season as a freshman. He is the leading returning receiver for the Cougars with 25 catches for 306 yards. He also was the primary kick returner and got some playing time on the defensive side of the ball. Expect the new coaching staff to find creative ways to get Cusatis the football.
Cusatis Highlights

Caden Brungard, Sr. – Western Wayne
Joe Curcio, Sr. – Hanover Area
Ryan McAndrew, Sr. – Scranton Prep
Dominic Palmatier, Sr. – Montrose
Moet Wellington, Sr. – West Scranton
