It was an uneventful first round of the playoffs.  Here is the Week 11 Super Six.

BIG SCHOOL

  1. Valley View (11-0) – Cougars rested starters in the second half. The depth of this team makes them fresh. Last Week: 1, Next Game: vs. West Scranton (7-4)
  2. Dallas (10-1) – The Mounts avoid a first round upset. WVC rematch at home this time. Last Week: 2, Next Game: vs. Berwick (9-2)
  3. Berwick (9-2) – Owen Shoemaker runs wild in first round. The revenge tour begins in the Back Mountain  Last Week: 3, Next Game: at Dallas (10-1)
  4. Wallenpaupack (8-3) – Buckhorns make a statement with District 11 win. Gets another shot this week. Last Week: 4, Next Game: at East Stroudsburg South (8-3).
  5. Delaware Valley (8-3) –  Warriors win with heavy hearts. Chance for another Class 6A title. Last Week: 5, Next Game: vs Hazleton Area (6-5)
  6. Hazleton Area (6-5) –  Cougars need top effort to end up with winning season.  Last Week: 6, Next Game: at Delaware Valley (8-3)

SMALL SCHOOL

  1. Scranton Prep (10-1) – Cavaliers have not lost to a Class 3A team all season. Last Week: 1, Next Game: vs. Western Wayne (6-5)
  2. Wyoming Area (11-0) – Warriors will face first LFC team since Week 1 (Mid Valley). Can answer critics.  Last Week: 2, Next Game: vs. Lakeland (8-3) 
  3. Lakeland (8-3) – Great football game in the mud gets Chiefs to semifinals.   Last Week: 3, Next Game: at Wyoming Area (11-0)
  4. Dunmore (8-3) – Bucks cruise to another Class 2A win. Chance for another title Friday. Last Week: 4, Next Game: vs Susquehanna (7-4)
  5. Western Wayne (6-5) – The Wildcats will get another shot at the Cavaliers.  Last Week: 5, Next Game: at Scranton Prep (10-1)
  6. Lackawanna Trail (10-1) – Lions avenge only loss. Head to state playoffs. Last Week: NR, Next Game: vs. Bristol (6-4)
