NAME: Adam Goeringer
SCHOOL: Dallas

Adam Goeringer did it all for the Mountaineers in the early part of the decade. A three-year starter at linebacker and two-year starter at quarterback, the former Dallas team captain led the Mounts to a 20-3 combined record in his junior and senior seasons including a perfect regular season in 2010. On offense, he rushed for 1,519 yards and 24 touchdowns over the two-year span while throwing for 2,810 and 30 touchdown passes. Defensively, he had 260 career tackles. His senior year stood out as he accumulated 129 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, an interception and 7 forced fumbles.

Goeringer was the NPF Wyoming Valley Conference Big School Offensive Player of the Year and first-team quarterback in 2010. He was also named All-State Honorable Mention at quarterback in 2009 and 2010 by the Pennsylvania Football News and Goeringer continued his football career at Kutztown University where he started at linebacker.

Former Dallas coach Ted Jackson on Goeringer: “Adam was one of the toughest kids I ever coached. Offense, defense, special teams – he did it all. If the game was on the line, he had to have the football. Because he was a fierce compeititor and didn’t want to lose, he took charge in the biggest games. He was truly a championship player and leader.”
