NAME: Dustin Jones
SCHOOL: Lake-Lehman
LAST SEASON: 2013
POSITIONS: FB/DL

Dustin Jones was a beast on both sides of the ball for Lake-Lehman. On offense, he was a punishing rusher who bulldozed opposing defenders. His senior season saw him rush for over 2,000 yards and 31 touchdowns. A three-year starter at fullback, Jones finished just under 4,000 rushing yards for his career while scoring 57 touchdowns on the ground. Jones was just as effective on the defensive line as Black Knight opponents had little room to run the football in 2013. Lake-Lehman won the PIAA District 2 Class AA title Jones’ senior season.

Jones was named the 2013 NPF District 2 and Wyoming Valley Conference Small School Offense Player of the Year. He was a first-team fullback and defensive lineman in the conference. Jones was also All-District 2 fullback and first-team on offense and defense his junior season. He was named an All-State running back by the Pennsylvania Football News and Honorable Mention by EasternPaFootball.com. He continued his football career at Division 3 Wilkes University.

Lake-Lehman coach Jerry Gilsky on Jones: “He was a physical and determined runner in our style of offensive game.  He was noticed offensively for his accomplishments but he demonstrated the same type as a physical and aggressive defensive lineman that was difficult to block.  Basically his style of play in any aspect of the game he punished the opponents.  Overall he was part of a class with many leaders and his success will help him be successful with life.”
