Kyle Haines was a player that could line up anywhere on the field and help his team win. He made his mark as a wide receiver. In 2014, he caught 57 passes for 1,012 yards and 11 touchdown receptions –  all three accomplishments were school records. For his career, Haines also threw for 699 yards and 6 touchdowns and rushed for 440 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also had two special teams touchdown returns. On defense, Haines 61 career tackles and 6 interceptions.

Haines was 2014 NPF Lackawanna Football Conference Division II Offense Player of the Year and a first-team wide receiver. He was also named to the 2014 NPF All-District 2 team as a wide receiver. Haines was named an all-state wide receiver by the Pennsylvania Football Writers and a second-team all-state wide receiver by the Pennsylvania Football News. He was also named a first-team wide receiver by EasternPAFootball.com. Haines would continue his football career at Division 2 Shippensburg University where he was a four-year starter at wide receiver and caught 97 passes for 1,134 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Former Western Wayne coach Donnie McDonough on Haines: “Kyle is the most versatile player I have ever coached. That was showcased when we would play him at quarterback, receiver, running back, and punt and kick returner all in the same game. His dedication and leadership earned him team captain as a junior. Kyle was our second all-state player in program history. He is a role model for our current and future Wildcat football players.”
