Dunmore has a history of great offensive linemen and Dan Drewes is a player that has helped the program achieve that status. Drewes was a four-year starter for the Bucks who led the team to a 38-5 record over that span. Dunmore won two district titles and made two state championship appearances including Drewes senior season. Over his career, the Bucks rushed for 16,267 yards including 5,134 yards his senior season. Drewes also played defensive tackle and had over 100 tackles during his career.

Drewes was named an NPF Lackawanna Football Conference Division II first-team offensive lineman in 2012, 2013 and 2014. He was second-team in 2011. Drewes was an NPF All-District 2 offensive lineman in 2014. He was named an all-state offensive lineman by the Pennsylvania Football Writers and a first-team all-state offensive lineman by the Pennsylvania Football News. Drewes was named a first-team offensive lineman by EasternPAFootball.com and was also named the 2014 Hookey Reap Award on offense for the best lineman in the Lackawanna Football Conference. Drewes continued his football career at Division I-FBS Temple University.
