From the time he set foot on the field as a freshman, Jason Henderson was destined for great things. And there is still time to add more to that story. Henderson will be a four-year starter for the Warriors and has 100+ tackles in each of his three seasons while leading Delaware Valley to a 32-6 record and three District 2 titles. Last season as a junior, he recorded 162 tackles and 5 sacks. For his career, he has 427 tackles and 14 sacks. Henderson has contributed on offense as well. He has been the lead blocker for two 1,000 yard rushers and has run for 649 yards and 14 touchdowns as the DV fullback.
Henderson was an NPF Lackawanna Football Conference Division I first-team linebacker and fullback in both 2018 and 2019. He was Lackawanna Football Conference Division I Defense Player of the Year last season. Henderson was an All-District 2 linebacker in 2018 and 2019. He was also named an all-state linebacker by the Pennsylvania Football Writers and a first-team linebacker by EasternPaFootball.com in 2019. Henderson has committed to play his college football at Division I-FBS Old Dominion University.
Delaware Valley coach Keith Olsommer on Henderson: “Jason was a team captain for his his junior season. His numbers are astounding as he needs just over 70 tackles for 500 for his career. He is as explosive a player as we have seen come through Delaware Valley and has been a dominant player since he stepped on the field.”
