Here are some linebackers to keep an eye on from the LFC and WVC for the 2018 season:

Billy Donvito, Sr. – Dunmore
Donvito didn’t get grab much of the headlines last season because of all the talent on the Dunmore defense. But he was solid contributor on that side of the ball. Expect him to grab the leadership role this season for the Bucks. Donvito was an NPF Second Team LFC Division III linebacker.
Donvito Highlights

Colin Hazelton, Sr. – Mid Valley
Hazelton might not be the biggest or fastest defensive player in the LFC, but he gets to the ball as good as anyone. He will be the heart of the Spartans defense in 2018. Hazelton is gritty and tough which is what you want in a linebacker. He was an NPF Honorable Mention LFC Division III linebacker in 2017.
Hazelton Highlights

Jason Henderson, So. – Delaware Valley
Henderson set the Delaware Valley record for tackles last season – as a freshman. That’s pretty impressive. So, it’s safe to say that he is already one of the leaders of the Warriors’ defense. Henderson was an NPF Honorable Mention LFC Division I linebacker last season.
Henderson Highlights

Joey Lynn, Sr. – Berwick
The Dawgs have had a history of tough linebackers and you can add Lynn’s name to the list. He had 85 tackles for a Berwick defense that was one of the best in the WVC. Lynn will be the main cog on defense and will lead the way as the fullback for the Berwick running game. He was an NPF First Team WVC Big School linebacker in 2017.
Lynn Highlights

Tyler Stevens, Sr. – Northwest
Stevens led the WVC Class 3A/A Division champions in tackles with 121 and tackles for losses with 21 during 11-game season.  He led a defense that limited divisional opponents to 14.5 points per game. Stevens was selected the NPF WVC Small School Defensive Player of the Year last season.
Stevens Highlights

Sleeper
Brendan Woods, Sr. Wyoming Valley West
Woods was the second leader tackler for the Spartans despite not entering the starting lineup until Week 4. He will take over as the main man in the Wyoming Valley West defense in 2018.
Woods Highlights
