HONESDALE 56, NANTICOKE 21

Behind a dominant rushing attack and a fast start, Honesdale powered its way past Nanticoke, 56–21, on Friday night at Hornet Stadium. The Hornets scored early and often, building a commanding lead by halftime and cruising the rest of the way to improve their record in the late-season matchup.

The Hornets’ offense set the tone behind the one-two punch of Gabe Duda and Kobe White, who combined for over 230 yards on the ground. Duda rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown, consistently moving the chains and controlling the tempo. White was equally explosive, finishing with 105 yards and three touchdowns, breaking tackles and finding open lanes through Nanticoke’s defense.

Honesdale’s line dominated up front, opening holes that allowed the backs to reach the second level with ease. Once the Hornets established their ground game, the passing attack and special teams capitalized, adding short fields and quick scores to widen the margin.

Nanticoke battled throughout the night and broke through for three touchdowns of its own, but could not slow Honesdale’s momentum. The Hornets’ defensive front held firm, forcing multiple punts and turnovers while limiting the Trojans’ time of possession.

By the fourth quarter, Honesdale’s reserves closed the game out, sealing one of the team’s most complete performances of the season.
