MARIAN CATHOLIC 42, HANOVER AREA 24
Rory Dixon scored five touchdowns to lead the Colts to an impressive win over the Hawkeyes.
Marian raced out to 21-0 lead in the first quarter, but Hanover fought back with a touchdown pass from Logan Richardson to Connor Richardson to cut into the Colts lead. The Hawkeyes would get the ball back, but Dominick Rodino picked off Richardson and returned it 86 yards for a touchdown.
Then Hanover Area would return the favor when Dawin Downey returned an interception 89 yards for a touchdown
The Hawks would score quickly in the second half on a Dwayne Downey touchdown reception followed by a Chance Hall field gotal to the cut lead to 28-24
However, the Colts would score the game’ last two touchdowns by Dixon to pull away.
Hanover Area will travel to Riverside next Friday.
