Jaydon Skipalis made sure Lake-Lehman kept rolling Friday night.
Skipalis carried 30 times for 171 yards and three touchdowns as the Black Knights went to Tunkhannock and came away with a 26-13, Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 victory.
The win was the third straight and the fourth in five games for Lake-Lehman after starting the season 0-2.
Tunkhannock led after one quarter and was within 18-13 heading into the fourth quarter.
Skipalis ran 5 yards for the game’s last score with 9:42 left.
The Tigers led 6-0 on an 11-yard, Zach Latwinski-to-Colin Gregory touchdown pass in the first 2½ minutes.
Skipalis ran 29 and 3 yards for second-quarter touchdowns.
The Black Knights scored twice in three seconds to end the half.
After the second Skipalis touchdown broke a tie and the kickoff was not returned, Tunkhannock tried a deep pass as time expired.
Vincenzo Sparacio intercepted for Lake-Lehman and returned it 66 yards for a touchdown and 18-6 halftime lead.
The Tigers closed the gap when Randall Paxton threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Gregory midway through the third quarter.
Lake-Lehman (2-1 in the division and 4-3 overall) will host Wyoming Area (2-1, 6-1) with sole possession of second place in Division 2 on the line Friday night.
Tunkhannock (1-3, 2-5) will host Montrose in a non-league game. The Meteors take a 1-5 record into Saturday night’s game against Holy Redeemer.
