BERWICK 42, NANTICOKE 16

The Berwick Bulldogs exploded out of the gate Friday night, scoring five first-quarter touchdowns on their way to a dominant 42–16 win over Nanticoke.

Berwick wasted no time seizing control, striking early and often in the opening period. Ty’Meere Wilkerson set the tone with a 51-yard touchdown run on the Bulldogs’ first possession. Moments later, the senior standout added a 20-yard score as Berwick’s offensive line opened consistent running lanes. Short-yardage touchdowns by Everett Snyder and Matt Gordner added to the flurry, while quarterback Brady Cleaver connected with Caleb May on a short swing pass to cap a near-perfect first quarter for the Bulldogs.

Cleaver added a 17-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, extending Berwick’s lead and effectively putting the game out of reach by halftime. The Bulldogs controlled the trenches, running the ball with power and balance while their defense smothered Nanticoke’s attempts to sustain drives.

Nanticoke found some rhythm late, putting together a few highlights in the fourth quarter. The Trojans picked up a safety and added touchdowns on a 44-yard pass from freshman quarterback Max Leonard to J.P. Pastuizaca and a 25-yard run by freshman Elaiph Denson. However, the early deficit was too much to overcome.

Wilkerson finished with 159 yards on just five carries, averaging more than 30 yards per rush. Cleaver added 17 yards and a score, and Ashton Smith contributed 36 yards on five carries. Berwick totaled 217 yards of offense, including 206 on the ground, while holding Nanticoke to 167 total yards.

The victory kept Berwick unbeaten at 7–0, while Nanticoke dropped to 0–7. The Bulldogs’ fast start and efficient execution showcased the balance and depth that have fueled their strong season heading into the final stretch.
