Andrew Lupinski scored touchdowns on a run, a pass reception and a punt return Friday night as Tunkhannock defeated host Montrose, 31-0, in a non-league game.
The Tigers hurt themselves with penalties on the way to a 13-0 halftime lead. They pulled away from there by making less mistakes in the second half.
“We controlled the line of scrimmage,” Tigers coach Pat Keating said in a phone interview. “There were a couple of sacks, but it was more about shutting down the run game.”
Karver Lewis and Randall Paxton ran for touchdowns. Zach Latwinski passed to Lupinski for his score.
Tunkhannock (3-5) has another non-league game Friday night at home against Towanda.
Montrose, an independent team, finishes its season at 1-6.
