Pittston Area earned their first win of the season and the first career win for head coach Joe DeLucca as the Patriots routed Nanticoke 55-0
Pittston quarterback Matt Walter ran for two touchdowns in the first quarter and threw another in the second quarter to Lucas Lopresto. C.J. Pietzrak also scored two rushing touchdown in the second quarter – a 1-yard run and 50-yard run as the Patriots lead 47-0 at halftime.
The Trojans offense never got going on the evening at Pittston held them to negative rushing yards and 23 total yards for the evening.
Pittston Area (1-2) will try to make it two in-a-row when they visit winless Wyoming Valley West while Nanticoke (0-3) is on the road for the third straight week when they visit Tunkhannock.
