Jim Mitkowski ran for 252 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries Friday night to lead Lake-Lehman to a 42-0 shutout of visiting Holy Redeemer in a non-league game.
By beating Holy Redeemer for the 18th straight year, Lake-Lehman moved above .500 overall this season at 3-2. The Royals are 0-5.
The Black Knights did all their scoring in the first half with 21 points in each quarter.
Mitkowski opened the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown run, then Benjamin Dowling scored on a 39-yard pass from Hayden Evans and a 7-yard run.
Evans also ran for a 7-yard touchdown in the second quarter. After Evans ran for a score, Mitkowski broke a 63-yard touchdown for the 42-0 lead.
Lake-Lehman’s defense limited Holy Redeemer to two first downs, 10 yards rushing and 39 yards total offense.
Holy Redeemer (0-5) will host Holy Cross next Saturday while Lake-Lehman (3-2) travels to Nanticoke on Friday,
