DALLAS 30, PITTSTON AREA 22

Pittston Area gave everything Dallas could handle but came up short as the Mountaineers escaped Yatesville with a 30-22 win.

Dallas outgained Pittston 358 to 191.

It looked like it was going to be a runaway after the Mounts went up 14-0 after the first quarter on two Dylan Geskey touchdowns. But the Patriots fought back with C.J. Pietrak and Matt Walter touchdown runs. A two-point conversion would give Pittston a 15-14 lead. Geskey would then score his third touchdown to give the lead back to the Mountaineers at halftime 21-15

Dallas would continue the momentum in the third quarter with a Brady Zapoticky 6-yard TD run and then a bad snap on a punt gave the Mounts a saftey and a 30-15 lead.

In the fourth quarter, Walter found Lucas Lopresto in the end zone for a 12-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 8. The Mountaineers would protect the lead the rest of the way.

Pittston Area (2-3, 1-1) is back at home next Friday against Crestwood. Dallas (2-3, 2-0) hosts LFC foe North Pocono.
