Every week, we will highlight some of the best linemen from the WVC and LFC presented by Honesdale National Bank. Here is Week 5:

NICK DAY, Wyoming Area
Wyoming Area’s program’s foundation has always been up front so it’s not surprising seeing the linemen step up to the plate and excel. Nick Day is the next man up for Wyoming Area. Just a freshman, Day was part of a potent running attack that racked up 246 yards. He recorded two pancakes and did not give up a sack in pass protection in the Warriors win over Western Wayne.

PEDRO EARL, Wallenpaupack
Wallenpaupack has been running the ball with efficiency and power. They had a big challenge last Friday and center Pedro Earl was up to the task. Going against the Warriors 5-2 offense, the sophomore was head-to-head with the DV nose tackle and played outstanding in helping controlling the line of scrimmage in the Buckhorns dominating victory.

ROCCO OLIVERI, Pittston Area
Another freshman who is making is mark is Rocco Oliveri. After the Patriots were hit hard up front by graduation, the coaching staff was forced to play some younger players who were talented but raw. Not only did Oliveri get thrown into the fire, but at left tackle, which is the quarterback’s blind side. In his third consecutive start, he helped the Patriots win the line of scrimmage and win the football game over Hazleton Area.

CHRIS PARIS, Scranton Prep
The Scranton Prep offensive line had to replace some important players who graduated in 2025, but one of them that returned was Chris Paris. Only a sophomore, he has already taken a leadership role for the Cavaliers. He is responsible for the line calls and has shown a strong football IQ. He also has shown strength and good technique. Prep put up 57 points against West Scranton and had a total of 385 yards of offense.

TREVOR RUDDY, Wyoming Valley West
The Wyoming Valley West program has been reborn with a three-game winning streak and an offense that has become balanced and high-scoring. Trevor Ruddy has been a stablizing force up front for the Spartans. A veteran on both sides of the ball, Ruddy and his linemates have become much better with their run blocking and technically sound in their pass protection. They scored a season-high 47 points in their win last Friday at Nanticoke.
